BIO
Lou Croff Blake is a trans fashion practitioner, scholar, artist, and community organizer based in Berlin, Germany. Their work integrates queer theory with queer community-building, with the aim of fostering intersectional equity and radical visibility of marginalized genders. In their multidisciplinary body of work, they dissolve the barriers between creative play and critical analysis, choosing fashion and dress practices as a medium for generating collectivist, grassroots solidarity. As an advocate for intersectionality in queer fashion communities, they focus on building bridges to other related movements, such as decolonial fashion, Crip fashion, and sustainable fashion. Reaching towards allies, they also speak and present on topics of queerness, host a ‘Gender Inclusivity Boot Camp,’ and offer consulting services on how to be a more active ally to the queer and trans community.
